Myth #1 - People are targeted by the FBI or the police.
FACTS - The only people who have access to this technology are the military, their research laboratories and their defense contractors, as well as other countries (i.e. Russia). We also know for certain that, at the very least, the US military has a Classified Electromagnetic Warfare research program, as well as a Directed Energy Directorate.
The police and the FBI are both law enforcement agencies. While they may, in fact, have access to tasers (or even short-range acoustic bullets), they are not conducting long-range, long term technological testing. It's true that the FBI would target various groups (the Black Panthers etc...) and harass individuals within those groups, usually to break up an organization from within, to discredit leaders of those organizations, to seek out "treasonous" activities, etc...(search: COINTELPRO INVESTIGATIONS).
But these victims are not "people of interest." On the whole, they do not belong to "radical" organizations and none of them are terrorists. They are average, everyday run-of-the-mill Americans.
Because we do not believe the FBI is conducting long-term usage on individuals, we believe this is disinformation that diverts attention away from the actual issue.
